Part List All parts of the fce file are listed in the part list. The list is divided into two columns. Click on the eye icons to make parts visible or invisible. Click on the part's name to select a part to edit. A doubleclick on the part's name makes all other parts invisible. You can move the selected part using the mouse. In 3d view mode, the part can be moved in any direction. Hold down left button for movements in x-y-direction. Holding down the right button moves the part in the z-direction. In the non-perspective view modes the part can be moved in the appropriate directions holding down the left button. In all view modes, the part can only be moved along the enabled axes (see "The Axes" below). |

Part Data The name and position (x-y-z) of the selected part is displayed in the part data field. Click on the appropriate edit filed to edit the name or position using the keybord. The input must be finished by pressing the ENTER key. |
| The Axes These three buttons allow you to lock movements along certain axes. Only the selected axes are enabled for moving the selected part using the mouse. |
| Move Part / Part Axis Select whether you want to move the part or the part's axis only. |
| Center Part There are two methods to center a part. The first method centers the part's geometry around the axis. The second moves the axis to the middle of the part. |
| Import / Export These functions allow you to import or export a part in AutoCAD (*.dxf) or Wavefront (*.obj) format. Both formats are exceeded to save additional data like smoothing groups and polygon effects. So you can use any of these formats to exchange parts between different fce files with FCE Finish. If you import AutoCAD or Wavefront files from other programs, only the geometry (vertices and polygons) can be read. |
| Copy / Delete The selected part will be copied resp. deleted. |
| Mirroring The selected part will be mirrored at the selected axis. The geometry and the position of the part will be mirrored, so that you can e.g. make a left wheel from a right wheel with just one mouse click. |
